In fall of 2020 my life changed for the better. After chatting for some time on Hinge, I met this beautiful woman in the west village. Initially, I was dealing with many unread messages and days of unresponsiveness but somehow we made it to our first date. I got there early - as everyone knows I’m very punctual. Mallika on the other hand came 35 minutes late or as I like to count, 3 whiskeys later. She finally got there and I was extremely happy that 1) I wasn’t stood up and 2) because she was gorgeous. She lit up the whole restaurant with her beautiful smile. We enjoyed our evening with lots of oysters, mezcal, and great conversation. I knew then that Mallika was going to be a special person in my life. We went on a slew of dates after that. One that stands out was when we hung out on Mallika’s roof top. We had a perfect view of the Empire State Building while vibin out to ol’ blue eyes Frank Sinatra. It was an amazing night like many others that I just couldn’t get enough of. After the first of many vacations together, we both discussed meeting each others' families. We set up dates and the games began. Mallika was meeting my parents first. I was quite nervous, but Mallika was so loving, sweet, and of course late once again :) Ultimately Mallika and my parents hit it off and we had a great night. She showed my parents lots of love and respect. Then it was my turn to meet Mallika’s family. She was the nervous one this time, but don’t worry I wasn’t late. It was inviting to meet her parents, they made me feel at home right away. I could see where Mallika got her good looks, humor, and amazing personality from. Around this time is when I truly fell in love with Mallika. I worked tirelessly after that to make Mallika fall in love with me. Many vacations, restaurants, and getting engaged together I still have work to do. Our story is just beginning, and I’m tickled pink for what’s next.
