Jillian Sweet and Daniel Rush's Wedding Website
HER VERSION: Wednesday November 20th started out like any other Wednesday. I was running errands on my day off and Daniel messages me asking if I want to do a sunset tour at the lighthouse. An engagement crossed my mind due to the sudden suggestion of this activity but it is not uncommon for us to utilize my Wednesday's off due to his shift schedule and do something fun together! On the way to the lighthouse, he mentions that my mom is going to meet us there (hmmmm?). Once we arrive, nothing seems out of the ordinary and we take a historic tour prior to climbing the lighthouse. It was truly a beautiful day, not a cloud in the sky. From the top of the lighthouse, we could see manatee's and sharks swimming in the water below. Once everyone else had walked back down, Dan turned to my mom and asked her to take another picture for us. When I turned around, he was down on one knee and my memory gets a bit blurry after that! But I know I said yes!!! HIS VERSION: I bought a ring for Jill in September of 2019. I knew I wanted to marry her, but I didn't know how to ask. A beautifully, sunny day appeared in November, and I knew the day to ask was here! She was out, running errands, and the idea of taking a tour of the Jupiter lighthouse came to me. Both of our family's created lives in Jupiter and we were both born and raised in this beautiful town. A proposal atop the town's iconic, historic beacon would hold important meaning. I called her mom to see if she would be available to join us for the tour. She was unaware of my plans to propose, but i wanted her to be there for it, and I needed a photographer. There were bout 15 people on the tour, far more people than I had anticipated. Fortunately, we were able to spend a few moments at the top of the lighthouse longer than the rest of the tour group. I asked her mom to take a photo of us, then got down on one knee to ask this beautiful woman to be my wife. She said yes!
