Sam and Emmy met at a coworker's Christmas party in 2019 and immediately hit it off. They talked for hours, completely ignoring everyone who they arrived with until it was 1am and time to go home. Sam did not ask for Emmy's phone number because her brother was there and decided that seemed weird (it wouldn't have been). Sam talked about Emmy the entire walk home with his roommate Ben who would later describe Sam as smitten. Sam did not reach out to Emmy for five days. Luckily, Emmy got staffed on his project the next week and now had an excuse to reach out to him again. They exchanged numbers and started dating. Emmy and Sam got engaged three and a half years later in Belgrade Lakes in Maine and have shared many adventures together. From traveling to Hawaii, Ireland, and Greece to finding ways to entertain themselves during covid, they are excited for any and all adventures to come as long as they can tackle them together.
