Dan & Tom met in 1993 in Toms hometown of Del Rio, Texas. They were both representing their theater groups at a non-profit theatrical competition... Dan was an assistant director, Tom was, naturally, a musical director. Dan says: "I loved the way he played piano. The fact that he was tall, dark & handsome didn't hurt! I looked forward to seeing him in Fort Worth when our theater groups competed again a few weeks later. After spending a little more time getting to know him, I knew he was pretty special. The rest was history!". Tom says: "I remember meeting Dan, mainly because he was wearing a bright orange suit! It was immediately evident that he had a passion for the theater and a wonderful rapport with his fellow actors. His confidence and joy onstage were palpable and what should have been a brief chat among competitors turned into conversation until the sun rose. I still look back on that day and believe it was kismet.".
