It started at Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in Kona, Hawaii. As missionaries, our lives cross paths with a lot of people for short periods of time. Our paths first crossed in June 2021. We reconnected in December 2022, I (Claire) was prepared to reintroduce myself, not knowing that Paulo had been talking to the LORD about me 3 months prior to our both being in Hawaii at the same time. He offered to help me move and I offered to take him out for ice cream as a thank you for hauling my luggage up several flights of stairs. We were still outside the ice cream shop 3 hours later. He put all the cards on the table. He was interested in me and not just dating but marriage. I was shocked and spent 3 sleepless nights asking another question, "Lord are you in this?" Before traveling to Kansas, we spent some quality time together while the LORD confirmed all that I had asked. He cooks well, sings, plays guitar, knows how to give a really good massage, makes me laugh, loves Jesus and loves me. Oh and he wants to go to Egypt with me to fulfill the vision entrusted to me by the LORD. It was a pretty easy yes. We've been giving people something to talk about ever since.
