After working a 12-hour night shift at the hospital, Evan convinced Blair to hop in the car and go hiking with him at the Gorge. She got a nice cat nap in the car that gave Evan time to take a chill pill before they got there. Hiking the Natural Bridge trail, the trail they had gone on for their first date, Evan held on to the ring in his pocket the whole way to the top, scared that he would lose it. It was his first time, so we will give him slack for not bringing the ring box ;) At the top, Evan got down on one knee (sweaty as ever after the hike + the nerves) and asked Blair to marry him right at the spot they once sat, talking for hours, 5 years earlier. He's a softy, but that's one of the things that makes him so great. Of course Blair screamed, "YES!" and later had to be assured that it was real because of her sleep-deprived state. What a day!
