We took a trip to Italy as one last hurrah before I started my graduate program. We were in Tuscany on a wine tasting tour. We were at our last winery, Querceto di Castellina, for the day before heading over to Siena. We were finishing our tasting, and Lucas suggested we get a glass of our favorite wine from the tasting, 'The Laura,' and take a walk through the vineyard. We walked up to this stunning hillside where Lucas asked to take a picture. He set up a phone on a picnic table, but instead of setting up a timed picture, he took a video, and we got to capture the most perfect moment of him asking me to be his wife. When we looked back at the video, we found that two words into his proposal, construction began, and we could barely hear his speech! Neither of us noticed in the moment, but it gave us a great memory to laugh about.
