While a little further from town, Old Rag offers a great strenuous hike for the outdoors inclined.

Great summer concert series, also in the fall you can go apple pickings, and seasonal fruit. Great overlook of the town!

Downtown Mall

Collection of local and nationwide shops on our outdoor pedestrian mall. Great for walking around.

The Rotunda

One of 25 UNESCO world heritage sites in the US. Go on an official historical tour (they’re led by students) or feel free to check it out and walk the grounds around the University.

Monticello

Charlottesville's second UNESCO site, great for a peak into Jeffersonian history.

Meadowcreek Golf Course

Inexpensive public golf course. great rates and good condition. 18 Holes.

Birdwood Golf Course

Public/Private golf course. Make reservations in advance, their renovation was incredibly well done.

Old Trail Golf Club

Public golf course – great views of the mountains, simple 18 hole course

Joe's personal all time favorite restaurant, also the caterer for the wedding. Comfy & upscale environment. Located just off the downtown mall, which has numerous shops and bars.

The Local

Classic Charlottesville, nice American food, located in the Belmont neighborhood.

Continental Divide

Southwestern food, usually a little bit of a wait but their hot blues (nachos) are incredible.

Located west of town in Ivy, a hidden gem. Usually a wait but great American food
